iPhone 17 Pro Max comes with triple 48 MP camera
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is preparing for a major camera upgrade in the iPhone 17 models next year. In this context, he claimed that the iPhone 17 Pro family will feature a triple 48 Megapixel camera system. The upgraded sensors will allow for higher resolution photos and 5x optical and 25x digital zoom.
Both the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models are expected to feature the new Tetraprism lens. Accordingly, Apple plans to close the camera gap between the Pro models. Both phones will have 48 Megapixel resolution cameras.
For comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro has a 48 Megapixel main and 12 Megapixel ultra-wide/telephoto lens. The revamped camera system looks set to deliver a big boost in photo and video capabilities.
Analyst Kuo believes that the redesigned cameras will also allow for higher quality spatial video capture. In this context, it will be optimized for the use of Apple Vision Pro.
On the other hand, Apple aims to deepen its production capacities with its partners in India every year. Pro model production has been something Apple has been thinking about for the last few years. This year, Pro and Pro Max models are planned to be produced in India, so that when they are released, locally assembled iPhone 16 Pros will be available in India.
